I got into this the way most people do. I started growing herbs because I liked the way they smelled. Then I started reading about what they could actually do. And then I started putting them in drinks, which is where things got really interesting.
The Fabled Alchemist is where I write about all of it. The mocktails I build around whatever’s growing outside. The tinctures I keep in jars on the kitchen shelf. The old herbal remedies that actually hold up when you look into the science behind them.
I’m not a bartender or a doctor. I’m someone who spends a lot of time with plants and got obsessed with figuring out how to turn them into things worth drinking. Every recipe on this site comes from my kitchen. If I haven’t made it, tasted it, and adjusted it at least twice, it doesn’t get published.
