What You Need

1 cup dried elderberries (Sambucus nigra)
3 cups filtered water
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated or thinly sliced
1 cinnamon stick
4 whole cloves
1 cup raw honey
Step 1

Combine 1 cup dried elderberries, 3 cups water, grated ginger, cinnamon stick, and cloves in a medium saucepan.

Step 2

Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the liquid has reduced by about half.
